The column position bending deformation of the mold


Phenomenon: The bottom cover of electrical products often deforms at the column position during the production process.


Analysis: The column position structure is prone to cause deformation. The product shrinks and deforms after being demolded.


Characteristics of injection molding machines

(4) Analysis of causes of defects


The mold's glue inlet method is a single-point submersible glue inlet. The product structure affects the column position, making it prone to deformation. If the mold temperature is too low, the weld lines on the product surface are obvious. If the mold temperature is too high, the product does not cool down sufficiently when exiting the mold, resulting in shrinkage and deformation.


(5) Countermeasures


1. Use multi-stage injection to regulate the injection molding process of the product.


2. Two mold temperature control units are used to adjust the mold temperature. Each row position is connected to a separate set of module temperatures.


3. Appropriately extend the cooling time to facilitate the cooling of the product in the mold cavity.

Delamination and surface peeling of the mold


Phenomenon: There is delamination on the side surface of the rear shell of the casing product during the production process.


Analysis: High shear force and thermal decomposition of the material flow; The raw material melt is uneven.

(4) Analysis of causes of defects


The main channel of the mold is quite large, and the glue injection method is point injection. The high shear force and thermal decomposition of the material flow, as well as the uneven melting of raw materials, cause the product surface to peel and delaminate.


(5) Countermeasures


1. The raw materials are thoroughly dried to reduce moisture content.


2. Add venting to the mold.


3. Adopt multi-stage injection molding to increase the mold temperature; Reduce the temperature of the barrel; Reduce the injection speed.

The small spouts of the mold are often pressed


Phenomenon: Small spouts are prone to fall into the row positions, causing mold pressing.

(4) Analysis of causes of defects


1. Small spouts are prone to fall into the mold rows, causing mold pressing.


2. Since most of this type of molds are of the inner row or multi-row structure, after the mold is opened and ejected, the small spout falls into the row and cannot be seen before the mold is pressed.


3. Due to the fact that the product has several small spouts, after the mold is opened and ejected, some of the small spouts are removed, while others fall into the position.


(5) Countermeasures


Connect the several small water nozzles for the product to enter the glue and change the product's glue entry method to a direct entry method. In this way, the water nozzles and the product water nozzles will be connected together. After ejection, the product water nozzles will be connected and no water nozzles will fall off to form a mold in the position.
